Do nudge upstairs every once in awhile will ya. We've gotten really great boosts post-BC but there are still problems outstanding that result in us being relegated in favor of our Warrior and Druid brethren.

Good call. A lower casting time would mean an extra attack in our armory. As it is I do try to utilize avenger's shield as an extra attack during a boss fight every once in awhile. The problem with that, however, is the loss in casting time when one is pounded on by a mob. Factor in critical cooldowns such as holy shield and it means that I rarely use the ability when I absolutely need holy shield up.

The spell hit mostly. Spell hit only effects JoR, Holy shield, and the first tick of consecration, making it significantly less useful than spell damage for threat.
And now that our taunt works on melee hit (great change btw) spell hit has very little effective use.
