Did 2.3 have a Shadowfiend Buff?

So I was healing heroic-Mech last night, and during the hammer-mini-boss fight I used my shadowfiend for the first time since the patch. It used to max out at about 350-450 mana returned from the little guy's crits, so I was amazed to see numbers in the +800 range and the max of +1260.

Has anyone else noticed a big change? Maybe +healing is helping him out now where it wasn't before? I didn't see anything about it in the patch notes, but the difference really floored me.

Shadowfiend scales on +damage. You probably didn't have any +damage before. Now you do, so it hits harder.

This should be the case. Using my own last night definitely showed improvement based on the additional +damage that was added to gear.

I haven't gotten to play with some things as much as I've wanted to lately. I did respec back from Holy/Disc to Disc/Holy again.

I am fortunate that the guild I am in allows me some freedom to experiment as long as I do the job I'm there to do, and yes, I went all the way down to Pain Suppression and was in Zul'Aman last night and used it a few times on the tank I was healing.

I'm looking forward to seeing other people's experiences with the changes as well.

If so are you confident that it will enable Discipline and Holy to stand on their own? In PVP and PVE for both?

I haven't gotten to see more in this regard as of yet. Keep in mind we've had a lot going into this patch and are working on future plans both for 2.4 and the expansion (as well as any intermediate patches). When and if we're able to give more insight on what is in store, we'll do our best to share it with you all.
