Best spec/build for leveling

Now I know this question gets asked all the time, and it seems kind of obvious ("retribution you idiot!"). However, I was looking for a specific build and I wanted a little more insight as to why retribution is the best and what skills are the best. Please bear with me and understand that there would be no other way to find out seeing as I can only play on the weekends, and there are no paladins guides around (*cough!* *cough!*).

Retribution is the more common leveling build, and it certainly provides more dps than the other two trees (especially true next patch). Most of my friends who have leveled quickly did so as a protection paladin. You just have to know what you're doing and how to optimize when leveling using the protection tree.
