Ret paladin Intellect?

Well i was looking up some decent Ret PvE builds and i thought that some of the Ret talents were useless in pve. Things like Divine Purpose and Eye for an Eye. Instead of placing the talent points into those couldn't you place them in Divine Intellect? I thought that intellect not only provided a larger mana pool but doesn't it add Spell Critical Chance? i thought that this would be good for Exorcism or other spells. Correct me if i'm wrong but wouldn't this be the case?

While I will not tell you what to do with your talent points... I will tell you that Retribution paladins are not reliant on Intellect as a stat. This was a design decision made to make certain that players who chose this spec would, amongst other things, not have to wait for too terribly long for equipment itemized to their liking. Take from that what you will.
