How do you grind?

Im kinda curious, i was thinking about starting as a warlock rerolling from hunter (i must be a pet person) so im kinda new to warlocks as a whole.
I read up on it so i think i have the basics covered.

But this is the one thing i have some doubts about.

Do you send in the voidwalker, dot it up, and nuke/drainlife and hope the void keeps aggro?
Do you put the imp on passive and then nuke the target till it dies while using the imp to gain mana/hp
Do you take the imp and just let it assist you in attacking?
Do you have your succ out as it is the so called high dps pet

Or am i missing any options here?
I am not planning on speccing into demo for the felguard so thats not really an issue, and let me add that im new to locks, ergo im starting from scratch and i have to grind on low lvls aswell.

Thanks in adavance!

I've recently brought my 'lock out of retirement with the intention of grinding to supplement my raid specc'd main.

I like the look of the build that Suhr linked and I'll be working on getting some better +dmg gear based on the gear list from Thenorthstar (http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=124062612&sid=1).

I've always been a succy 'lock myself, the Felguard never really impressed me. Multi-target grinding is the way to go if you can handle it. It's fun to see how many you can take on at the same time (risk=reward)...

Edit: "OMG, you're a Druid! Get off our forums!" Yeah, yeah.. I know. :)
