Why aren't the horde 'bad guys' anymore?

Anyone else kinda think it's lame how both sides are essentially the good guys and the NPCs of the world are the bad guys?

Yes, blood elves and forsaken have their own evil side-lore, but the fact that the horde faction as a whole can still be arguably considered "good" sort of takes the excitement out of being a horde character. It's like they are a dirtier, less advanced alliance.

Make horde evil again and kill off these noble horde figures like Thrall and Cairne.

It's all a matter of perspective. I haven't exactly seen the Alliance opening the doors of their cities wholesale to the Horde, but keep in mind the saying, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" and you'll easily understand how some amount of cooperation is possible between the two sides. Also keep in mind that it's only select groups that have opened the door to both sides of this ongoing conflict.
