Until you see an official post, Zebracakes, any dates released by third party sites are pure speculation. :)

I also love how this thread shows the doublestandard for naming conventions, given there are at least 2 blues posting in here and responding to people with names that violate the rules....is a great thread for future reference :D

Nah, all of the names in this thread are within policy for their particular realm type.

Since you asked (I was going to leave it at that as I dont really care too much but don't like seeing blatant ignoring of policies either), I'd say just in this thread would be Zebracakes, Teslacoil, TaintedCell and MourningGlory based on the rules.

Real world references and partial/complete sentence names tend only to be enforced on role-playing realms due to their ruleset, and trademarked names must be brought to our attention by the copyright owner.

And compound != partial/complete sentence. ;)

Guess http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=20421&categoryId=2415&parentCategoryId=&pageNumber=1 should be modified to state that caveat then in regards to when things are subjectively enforced :)

Yes it was pedantic, and yes I was just making a cheap joke without really caring too much to name names that were obvious given you guys were actually making jokes about eating the real product at the same time but, as I said, it's great now to have a blue post I can fall back on if I decide to not care about trying to think up decent names for my characters in the future.

All Hail DeathKnight Darknight since that's only Dark and Night put together right :D

Every category has a caveat--the word "may". ;)

Question Bel, are you our nighttime GM on the forums?

Vrakthris and Reythur are 4 PM to 1 AM CST, I'm on 6 PM to 3 AM CST, and Orlyia is on 12 AM to 9 AM CST. Orly tends to let me have free reign until I go home, though, while she works on other things.

So are you just patting the forums or do you also pop up in-game to help people.
(sorry for all the questions, I'm a forums noob)

Posting on the forum is only part of our job (the main part). We don't take in-game tickets, but we do a lot of behind-the-scenes work you guys may or may not see directly.

Do you play WoW at work? Or is that a no-no?

We're allowed to play at work--when we're off the clock, haha. Our job doesn't really entail playing the game so much as knowing about it.

Some people have a glorified notion of what working in the GM department is when, for most people, the job is very much a call-center type position. No playing WoW all day for us. Of course, that doesn't stop most of us from going home and playing WoW when we get out of work.

Not sure whats wrong with your mind there, bud. I'm a guy and the very first thing that pops into MY head when I think of "Morning Glory" is that album title "Whats the Story, Morning Glory" and I think that was Oasis, right?

Is Oasis not the greatest British band since the Beatles? Can we not vote on this?

Any chance beta-related questions will be answered in the CS forum? :) Namely, questions about the Northrend contenent and if the tech guys are working on it?

Stability issues on beta can stem from any number of sources--art assets, quest scripts, NPCs, spells, plain old server stress--and finding and ironing out those issues is part of the testing process. Even just logging in helps more than you know.

We aim to give you a good experience in testing but it's best to remember that the beta isn't a free preview. It's an unfinished product--and it's also a responsibility.
