New servers w/ WotLK?

It's not out of the question, though we'd like to see better population balances amongst the realms we already have, and will continue doing what we can to address that in as timely a manner as possible.

But when we ask, we just get vague answers. I asked about a release date for WotLK, and was told "soon." That's awfully ambiguous.

"It's not out of the question" doesn't say much, either. Maybe Blizzard has a good reason for not wanting to share any information whatsoever with its customers, which I'd understand if you guys would really communicate with us, but you don't.

So I'll make a couple of things very clear: 1. I'm a paying customer. I'm just one out of 11 million or whatever the subscriber count for WoW is at now, but I'm pretty sure you like my money. 2. Whether new servers are coming with WotLK or not makes a very big difference to me. Where and when I reroll is specifically dependent on whether or not Blizzard is releasing new servers.

All I want to know is if Blizzard does or does not have plans to release new servers with the release of WotLK.

I don't have that information now, and if I did it could change before the expansion is released. Sometimes direct answers simply aren't available. As soon as we provide such answers we are held specifically to them regardless of what may change in the future. Chances are new realms would not be opened unless there was a significant population spike, and even if so there are still plenty of under-populated realms.
