I actually agree with you. I really am not fond of that move. And I know that all the carebears love it. Thats fine. But I want someone to disprove this one point to MY satisfaction. If someone kills you once on a PvP server, your leveling is permanently longer then a PvE. Therefore you have to be more aware, more careful, etc. I have toons on both servers, and my friends I play with on my PvP server are deployed. If they don't play when they come back...I might have trouble getting another couple game cards.

If you die to a mob your leveling is longer too.

My distaste for it is based off of principle. Blizz always preached on how it would harm the integrity of the game if they were to allow it. Then all of a sudden, "Oh, it's not so bad after all".

It doesn't sit well with me. It's almost a wishy washy attitude. If enough people cry about it, Blizz will change their minds. It's....disappointing.

Let me pose this.

Do you really think that the leveling atmosphere--given R-A-F, accelerated 20-60 leveling, the upcoming accelerated 60-70, etc--is really that different on a PVP realm nowadays?

Not really but the game doesn't end when you ding.

Right. The whole reason why the transfers were prohibited in the first place was because of relative ease of leveling, not because of endgame anything.

We want people to be able to play with their friends unhindered by admittedly archaic perceptions of leveling and item acquisition.

PVE folks who transfer to PVP expecting it'll be an amazing uninhibited lowbie-ganking paradise at max level are in for a rude awakening, simple as that.

Trace route has me stopping dead at around stop 19 and its frustrating as all hell.

Just in case you weren't aware...

Q u o t e:
IMPORTANT: Since our game servers are protected from unsolicited traffic and attacks, all the hops after you have reached our server may give you an error message such as 'Request Timed Out' or 'Destination Host Unreachable'. Our current server names begin with various mixes of numbers and letters, and end in the following addresses:

attens.net (example: mdf1-bi8k-1-ve-114.lax1.attens.net)

All error messages you may receive after contacting our server can be safely ignored for troubleshooting purposes, and they do NOT indicate a problem with your internet connection.

That's actually usually around point #19. Not sure if that's helpful or not, but figured I'd point it out. =)

...Ooh! New notes on the typing page!

Anyway, I've been out for the last few hours. Are people really complaining about the PCTs taking forever on the same day as the announcement of the policy change on PvE > PvP?

Most of you folks are probably in bed by now, but hello anyway!

Evenin' you. Glad to see you :)

Can we have a new big bold in all caps sticky about this transfer getting locked up stuff, PLOX???!?!

I'll love you forever... :D

Well, I'm having this investigated.

So far, restarting does seem to be working - but I hesitate listing it as an 'official' fix until I hear back from the powers that be. It probably wouldn't hurt anything to try canceling and re-doing if someone is hung.
