I am writing this post due to an issue I am experiencing with Darkmaster Gandling in Scholomance.
I have run the Scholomance instance exactly 50 times (I kept count on paper) with the hopes of getting a Dreadmist Mask for my character's roleplaying persona.
I have even soloed the instance, with great difficulty and patience to overcome a rediculous ammount of obstacles, deaths, and untold ammounts of gold in repairs. I have done this time and time again all for one pre-expansion item that no one even wants anymore because its a piece of trash in comparsion to items which can obtained with minimal effort in Outland.
A large number of my friends and guildies believe a GM on our server has some form of grudge against me. Now, I don't know what to believe but I have no logical arguments to debate their conclusion.
Quite frankly, the in 50 runs, the Dreadmask should have -accidently- dropped by now. I don't even believe it is possible, that with a 7 or so percent drop rate, it is even feasable to believe it would not drop. I have seen all of the low level dungeon set helms drop from Darkmaster Gandling at least twice over. The only one that REFUSES to drop is the one item I see. The Dreadmist Mask.
Now, I ask you, has the Dreadmist Mask drop been disabled? This is no longer entertaining me, and I have far too little time away from work and from my family, to waste the vast majority of the free time I DO have to play on an instance that hardly anyone runs anymore.
I need answers, and I'm tired of talking to GMs about this issue who give me bogus advise to correct the issue. I do not use any UI modifications and have no issues anywhere else in the game.
So, one of two things is happening here.
Either A: The Dreadmist Mask doesn't drop anymore.
or B: A GM has a grudge against me.
No I would think the ladder of the two options is the more logical explanation for this issue.
However, friends of mine get the mask to drop frequently when they farm the instance on their own characters.
So! This automatically leaves one option! It seems that my friends were correct to assume a GM has been manipulating my drops. I don't know what else to believe, and there is little evidence to support any other theory my guildies and myself have formulated to explain this rediculous issue.
Now, I would VERY much APPRECIATE any feedback from '''development staff''' regarding this problem. I'm sure theres alot of players who will respond to this post with comments such as: "I see it drop just fine.", "It dropped for me yesterday", "Me too, only last week!" "=D" If that is the case, great! Fantastic! Good for you! That doesn't help me! "=D" Right back at ya!
I am obviously agitated and I would not resort to posting this issue on the forums if I had not already tried everything else to correct this issue. So, that being stated, I am in need of Blizzard's professional assistance!
...
Please let me know what the heck is going on with this drop... preferably before I put my fist through my monitor or something else of value.
I considered taking the time to edit this post and correct my typos and numerous grammar issues but quite frankly, I am far too angry to care.
