35 minute interview, multiple questions asked and not a single definite answer given. Why is it so impossible to get a simple yes or no out of these guys?
When discussing design philosophy in an interview, I don't know how useful it is to answer "yes" or "no" to a bunch of questions. It's not about providing absolute statements. It's about more proactively sharing context and thought processes behind some of the decisions we make, so the dialog becomes more public and allows more people to join the conversation.
Greg looked happier, but Ion is the one that looked mad. :P Its Friday! Anyways, nice interview.
Hehe, Ion always kind of has a poker face. He's just a very analytical person, but very friendly and open to engaging in discussions about design philosophy. It's a real pleasure to work with him, and all of WoW's lead developers for that matter. ;)
