Our server is down once again. World server went down. Happens almost everyday now. Can you freaking fix our server once and for all and stop feeding us BS.

We've both been keeping an eye on Black Dragonflight during our shifts and relaying any finding to our Technicians directly. While I'm unaware of an ETA, I do know these issues are being looked into.

Our realm technicians made a few adjustments earlier but it does not look like it has made much of a difference. They continue to look into the issue to track down the cause.

Thank you all for your patience, I will return if I receive further news but hopefully the latest hiccup will be the last.

Isn't that kinda... their job?

To take abuse, Pancho? No, that's not our job.

Thank you, Pyroboy, I don't take it personally. I completely understand the frustration.

As to your request for a free character move, it likely would not happen. We offer character moves for realms that have a rather high population, not for realm instability. We prefer to address the realms issues not give everyone life jackets so they can abandon ship.

Our Realm Technicians may have found the cause of the overall issue but from my understanding it may take a little while to acquire what is needed to resolve the issue completely.

We'll provide what progress reports we can.

Could i please ask that those reports be placed in our realm forum if it is not too much to ask. It is good to hear that you seem to have located the problem, by all hand i wish a speedy delivery of your hypothetical Alan Wrench to pry to bugs loose.

Not something that I can do, sorry, Pyroboy. I can only post in this forum.

Vrakthris' assertion from last night still holds true. :)

This is completely on our end, Pyroboy; we believe we've identified the issue and are simply waiting for the necessary component.

You can definitely expect a resolution, Garesh. While I've no ETA available at present, our Technicians know the source of the concern, as well as how to resolve it. It just a matter of time at this point.

Stay on topic, folks. I would rather keep this thread open for any updates that we are able to provide. Don't make me lock it because it has degenerated into petty arguments and name calling.

Thanks. <3

Q u o t e:
Twice today after scheduled downtime. Can I have a free transfer already?

The scheduled downtime was part of the normal maintenance period. As we have previously stated our technicians are aware of the issue but are awaiting the necessary components to resolve this.

Free Character Moves are not offered to realms that are having these types of issues, our goal is to actually resolve them not hasten your ability to abandon ship.

I am very sorry for the frustration this is causing, folks, our Technicians will resolve it as quickly as possible. If any kind of compensation is granted it won't be determined until after the issue is resolved. Credited game time will appear on your Account Management page under Payment History.

Yeah, but we already had maintenance Tuesday. You'd think that it would be fixed by now.

Unfortunately, some situations — such as this one — extend beyond maintenance periods and have to be addressed at a later date. Although we try to address and alleviate issues as quickly as possible, it is the regrettable reality that some things are impossible to hurry along.

I can assure you that this is a priority issue and is being addressed with due diligence.

"As quickly as possible" is the best estimate I can give, Naithin.

I'd assume within the week, but I'm unable to confirm anything. I do know that they're working as quickly as possible, but a time frame is not something that I am able to provide at this point.

Hopefully we'll have more later.

I'd also assume that any additionally required downtime — beyond that of the normal weekly maintenance — to address the realm's issues will be announced accordingly.

As an FYI:

At 5:00am PST, we will be restarting Black Dragonflight to address a hardware issue. We apologize for the inconvenience. The downtime is expected to minimal. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Blizzard employees are human beings, not supermen. Just cause they're not the greatest at their jobs doesn't mean you can criticize them.

Stop it, Lucif.

They're simply informing us of an issue when it occurs. The information is actually useful because it allows us to correlate information on multiple fronts.

Relax. They fixed the problem at 5:00am PST on the 10th.

Although I realize you made this statement in jest, I would like to assure you all that this issue is a high priority. This thread will remain open until Black Dragonflight is again stable.

Thank you for your reports. I'm relaying them presently.

Q u o t e:
You might want to increase the limit of posts/pages for this thread due to how much BDF goes down, how often people troll, how often blues respond, and how long it takes for things on our server to get fixed.

Should this become necessary, I assure you it will be done.

We hope to have this resolved before the 500-post mark, though. :)

Any response from a blue about if the shutdown was to fix the problem since the reboot yesterday morning didn't fix it?

It was to address the issue, yes.

Please let us know if any further issues arise.
