Hey I thought it would be a cool idea for guilds to be able to have a set % of earnings from killing a mob goto guild bank. Guild master can set the amount. Not from vendored items just from what is picked up from a mob.

You receive 95 silver from %t, 5 silver goes to guild bank.

something along those lines. Would help towards guild raid mats/mounts for people.

This suggestion got a blue response!

This is an interesting idea. We won't be able to get to this for the WotLK launch, but we are compliling a list of future guild improvements that we'd like to make in WoW.

I may be wrong, but I think most players would object to this sort of tax system, I know I certainly would.

I think it's important to let Blizz know the players DO NOT want to be taxed.

I'm guessing that IF this happens in the future, you'd still have the options of:

-Set tax to 0%
-/gquit

Some guilds wouldn't mind a feature like this though.

too much room for abuse though

you're in the middle of a big grind and all of a sudden you're GM or one of his snobby underlings wants to set the tax to 50%..... what do you do? gquit right there?

EDIT: YAY!! my first first!! lol

So then what if there was a check box on your character "Pay Guild Tax" ... ?

I'm not saying this is something that is definitely going in or anything like that, but some guilds and their organization may be able to use something like this effectively and there are ways to prevent abuse for those not interested.
