If you look at our worlds, Azeroth, and Outlands, we have a population of somewhere around 10,000,000 by this time we can assume that everyone has done these quests once. Some have never done them, and some have done them multiple times. In general lets just say once. This would come out to 2 billion 780 million animals.
I recently ran through Straglethorn Vale and Nagrand, there was wildlife everywhere. 278 just isn't enough. It seems as though for every one animal you kill another is ready and waiting to take it's place. I realize that Nesingwary is all about the thrill of the hunt, but how can killing an animal that is overpopulated be thrilling? Killing them is fun sure, but to say it is thrilling would be an overstatement. As such, I believe we need new quests. Quests that require us to kill the animals, slaughter if you will, almost to the point of extinction. Then hunting for them may actually be exciting again.
