I'm confused...a question about WotLK gear.

So when WotLK comes out, all of the hardcore raiders or even semi-hardcore raiders who put the time in for their epics get shafted again?

What's the point of raiding with WotLK around the corner to replace the current 70 epics?

Some argue that you will keep the epics and they will be viable to levelling, but this certainly wasn't the case in BC. And even if that's so, regardless you will eventually hit level 80, then you can DE maybe hundreds of hours of playtime.

Are there any plans on Blizzard's part to change this tiny predicament?

Thanks!

The difference is pretty simple.

You see that guy in six peices of tier 6 that has over 100+ days played?
You see that guy in outland greens who has 2 days played time?

When WotLK comes out, when they both will level up to 80 and dispose of their gear on the way up.

Then, when they hit 80, they will be on the same playing field.

My question, is what is the point of raiding until WotLK?

The point of raiding in Wrath of the Lich King is the same as the point of raiding in The Burning Crusade. To see new and interesting encounters, to challenge yourself and your friends, to meet and overcome obstacles that are seemingly insurmountable - through teamwork and strategy. If you get a little loot on the side, so much the better.

Are you saying we should play a game for fun?

It's such a crazy idea - it just might work!
