This is primarily looking for a blue post, since there's been zero communication regarding that topic as far as my reading and searching has turned up. If you have comments feel free to post them.
Back at WWI Blizzard did say they are looking to give the option of having dual specs, or ability to switch between two pre-existing specs or whatever you want to call it. That was it. Noone has even whispered anything else since then.
In the meantime I am seeing all kinds of blue posts on the beta forums; I am seeing a whole bunch on comments and talant rearrangements that try to include pvp talants in the pve trees of different classes; heck there's even a discussion of making the prot tree for warriors be a pvp tree ( mind boggling I know ).
A lot ... A LOT of all this would be solved by giving people the ability to change between two pre-determined specs. Maybe not on the fly so that you can super tank one fight and 2 minutes later dps like a legendary rogue, but maybe something reasonable.
So the QUESTION FOR BLUE is - is there a status update ? Is this still on the radar for WOTLK release ? or is this something you guys have scrapped at least till the expansion after WOTLK ? it would be great if you can tell us either way.
P.S. People that come and tell me that respec gold is easy to come by I only have one thing to tell you - I have a full time job, I'm not looking for another job so I can have fun in a game. Thanks.
