How fast does Realm Status get updated in cases like this? Our guild went there first, and nothing...

Depends on a lot of things. Sometimes we get a post there first, sometimes we get a post here first, sometimes we get a fairly immediate fix so the former is unnecessary.

Indeed. If you just downed a boss, two possibilities:

1. When servers come back up, they'll still be there.
2. When servers come back up, they'll be dead.

If 1, go kill 'em again!

If 2, feel free to petition to have your loot figured out.
