Mondays are always extraordinarily busy. Unfortunately, while I apologize for the wait, and for any inconvenience, this may mean that you'll have some issues getting through.

If the matter isn't urgent, then you can try contacting our Billing Department mid-week, or via email. Here's the contact information again:

    Billing & Account Services

    Phone Support - 1 (800) 59-BLIZZ
Live Representatives Available Mon-Fri, 8am to 8pm PST
    E-mail Support - Billing@Blizzard.com

*Australian users should call 1-800-041-378 if the above number doesn’t work.
*Singaporean users should call 1 800-2549-9273 if the above number doesn’t work.

They should definitely have more people working on Mondays then...this kind of service is unacceptable

Actually, we're currently in the process of expanding our Support Department, including the Billing Department, specifically in the interest of improving the service we can offer our players. If you're interested in joining the team here, you can visit http://www.blizzard.com/jobopp and check out the available positions that we're offering.

Additionally, all of our Billing staff is currently active every day that the Billing Department is open - as a result, since we are unable to clone or construct robot doubles of our staff (the experiments were disastrous), there are no more staff to increase the size of the Monday work force than are always on the job ;).

Q u o t e:
I think the point that they are making is that it's not one of operators handling calls, but the actual volume of calls not being capable of being handled on that leg of "wire" at the same time. iow, operators may be full or not, but the sheer volume of calls cannot necessarily go through. That's the phone company, not Blizzard's operators.

Q u o t e:

The problem is that they physically can't take any more calls, the phone lines are overwhelmed. While more representatives means less time on hold, there would still be periods when Billing is unreachable due to sheer congestion of the phone lines.

These points are, regrettably, both likely to be true for the foreseeable future. That is just the nature of things when you have sporadic periods of exceptionally high volume.
