Ok i'm gonna lay this out flat and right to the point

I invited a friend for the trial account, so we are getting triple xp, he reached the level 20 cap, he went out and bought the game, since he has upgraded, neither of us are getting triple XP, and i've read the FAQ on this, and i believe it said triple XP and buddy summoning for 90 days or until level 60

why are neither of us getting triple XP?

In your combat log you don't see a line like this?

Player gains x experience (=y amount from Refer-a-Friend).

Was anyone else in the group by chance?

Hmm. Just from my own experience (not meaning to pun, just turned out that way!) I believe that it will vary depending on whether you are in rested xp etc. I honestly am not paying much attention to xp from killing mobs as where you really see the jump is quest turn ins.

There was a whole formulaic thing somewhere, about how this works out. I do not now know where I saw it....

Rested experience isn't used as long as Recruit a Friend triple experience is active. That way you can split from your linked friend and still have all that rested experience to go through too!

Please let us know what it says in your combat log. The level and type of mob plus the level or all characters in the group, especially the one you a linked to as well as your own would help.

Hmm. Really? I just ran one of my vet toons out of blue bars while grouped with the RAF toon....

Hmm well it "shouldn't". :(

I'll have to forward that to be looked into, thanks, Jaelythe. <3

So if you pass this on, you might want to do so as "undocumented hearsay" or something....

No worries, Jaelythe, I took it from the point of seeking clarification on the system. :)

Are you receiving triple experience now that your friend has gained a couple of levels and you are within 4 levels of one another?

Remember that you must also be grouped, in close proximity to one another and the encounter/quest can not be considered trivial to either of you.

Trivial does not mean exclusively gray, it could mean green. Anything fairly low level compared to you.

Check your combat log and the experience you are receiving. Remember that it won't be triple what you would receive if you were soloing. Being grouped automatically mitigates the experience. You receive triple that experience.
