Thank a Tank day

For all those times we have had to fire fight from a bad pull. For all those times we would take the heat for the actions of another group member.

For all the times we patiently waded through an instance despite a healers inability to heal or a mages inability to CC. For being on the front lines, we salute you.

I too, would like to thank our tanks for keeping aggro, taking the hits, and getting the job done. You.... complete me...

Why do we need a thank a tank day? Tanks are in shortage, so they're already more valued and therefore more appreciated. Same with healers. They rule as gods over the mere peon DPS classes, getting into guilds easily, cherrypicking the loot, being the key elements that a PUG will revolve around. Meanwhile the DPS are treated like expendable trash because they are, in fact, expendable. Why not thank a DPS day? People thank healers and tanks all the time. When was the last time you thanked the DPS for anything?

I thank DPSers every day. :) In fact, I pretty much thank everyone that helps contribute to the success of a group or task. It makes things go much better than chewing them out.

Alot of the responses, in this thread are why you people can't find tanks for your groups. Have fun sitting around doing nothing.

I sure hope my responses will get me the tanks I need to finish some quests. ;p
