...is Wrath of the Lich King.

Dances? New clothes? Cute hair stylez?

Thank you Blizzard.

Don't forget the cute Nerubians and Scourge. They giggle when you tickle them under their chins, then try to slice you to pieces with their weapons. It's a calculated risk though.

A game made almost exclusively by males, for a predominantly male audience, responds to floods of user requests by including features like new hair styles and new gear and new emotes.

And, somehow, this is "girly"?

Sorry, champ, but I think it's just time to admit it:

Boys like playing dress up. Boys like to pick out rad hair styles. Boys like to boogie.

Come on out of the closet and dance around for me.

They're just simply fun features that we can add and everyone wants to be a unique snowflake whether they admit it or not. ;)

as stereotypical as it is, i am excited about the hairstyle option! every tell that i get asking if i'm a real girl is answered by the true statement "yes i am, and married".

i played two other games with approximately infinitely more character customization options. although that's not the most important aspect of a game, i am here not there now after all, i really miss that.

ignore the next sentence, it's been over a thousand times and last i heard we had an official "NO" answer from a blue. but oh how i wish there was a "hide shoulders" option. they all look so manly on me. and dorky.

but yay for new hairstyles!

Sorry, no option for hiding shoulders any time in the future that I know of. We like the artistic style and that when you see them, you know who and what you are looking at. Also, it lets me show off my nifty headlamp shoulders from the fire festival. Talk about the height of fashion!

What is it about girls and the eery glee they get out of wafflestomping critters. The gf goes "Awwww, a rabbit!" *Wand* "I just hit it for 560! Woot!"

This made me chuckle. Rabbits are evil don't you know? One point in beta, in the Scarlet Monastery, I had a guild mate that constantly would get attacked by the rabbits in there. We literally had to kill all the rabbits there for him to feel comfortable enough to continue on through the dungeon. ;)

Only if the mobs are so spread out that it's impossible for them to fight more than 1 at a time. My g/f handles 1 mob ok with her level 16 toon, but when she aggros more it's like someone hit her on the head with a baseball bat.

/confusion and bewilderment. Quick thinking and fast adaptation in video games are not something most ladies have, from the ones I have seen.

I assure you, this is not a gender issue. It's just a comfort level that people need to learn. It's easy to get discomfited in a situation that feels like is getting out of your control no matter your gender. With time and experience, that will get easier for her. I can tell you, I react to pvp and mobs pretty much the same. There is a task at hand and it's you or them. So you buckle down and do what needs done without letting the adrenaline get to you.
