WoW is not a rep grind. It's not a raiding fest. And it's not (nor ever was) a job.

WoW is FUN!

Sometimes we lose sight of the fun. WoW is an escape. It's a tiny vacation from your own daily grind. It's a key to another world--a place you can go to unwind. WoW is something you aniticipate throughout the day. You savor it when you finally have the chance to log in. And you feel a little sad when you have to log out.

If you feel that WoW has become nothing more than a rep grind, a raiding fest, or God-forbid, a job, then take another look. The fun is still there, you're simply missing it. ;-)

Take it down a notch. Relax a bit. Give yourself a break from the raiding or the grinding and HAVE SOME FUN! :-D

  • EXPLORE!
Traverse every little nook and cranny in the vast wilderness.

  • STRUT!
Put on your finest threads, whip out a rare minipet, and turn some heads in your favorite city.

  • INSPIRE!
Visit a starting area and impress the heck out of a newbie with your awesome might. Then offer to lend hand and a gold or two (which to a new player is a small fortune).

  • DONATE!
Conjure some bread (or have a mage conjure some for you), put on some street clothes, and put Ironforge bread lady out of business by advertising and giving away your baked goods.

  • TAUNT!
Buy a set of level 5 armor, toggle your PvP flag, and venture into lowbie enemy territory to see if anyone will "take the bait".

  • CONFUSE!
Kite a zone-specific, managable elite mob across half way across the world and enjoy the quizzical looks you'll get from other players. Imagine peoples' expressions in the Barrens when you're being pursued by a sea giant.

  • DRINK!
Put on some lowbie rags, grab an off-hand tankerd, buy a stack or two of booze, create a /burp macro and become a city vagrant for the night.

  • STREAK!
Rally a group of players into a streaking party: have everyone strip to their undies, then lead them into a lower level instance and savor the challenge of working together without any gear.

  • PLUNDER!
Get some Savory Deviate Delights and share them with your guild (or a raiding PUG) until everyone becomes a pirate. Then go plunder a lowbie town, yelling pirate expressions like, "YAAARRR!" and "YE BE WALKIN' THE PLANK!" (NOTE: You could also organize a Ninja Raid in the same way.)

  • Feel free to add your own fun to this list.
    Oh, and smile. :-)
