If people who make a lot of helpful posts get green text, then why can't people who constantly make unhelpful, off-topic, and outright insulting posts get red text?

Not only would it make it easier to spot those kinds of people, but red is the best color and I want it.

Haha, exactly. To some being labeled as disruptive becomes desirable and encourages them pursue that behavior, even if they may not have otherwise, just to stand out.
