Death Knights in Alliance Raids?

Hi. I'm a blood elf paladin. Just thought I'd let you know we killed all the Lore a few months back. Sorry you didn't get the memo.

Hehe, RP raiding. I like it.

It never really works out when you keep adding to limitations, especially one that includes a restriction from playing the first new class since the game's release... but I like it.

We've had warlocks for years, who lorewise are pretty much all evil, greedy magicians who bend over for demons in exchange for power and were the driving force behind the first and second wars between orcs and humans. If lore meant something they would be killed the moment they stepped foot in Orgrimmar or Stormwind.


Ah, and yeah, see that's my problem with a lot of it. If it happened on the ground floor, if blood elves and draenei were with the original game at launch, there wouldn't be any complaints. As soon as the story begins to progress while people are playing, story lines evolve, enemies die, and new friends emerge, it all becomes so much more delicate. It's no longer our story to tell, it's the players world we have to weave and dodge our way through.

So much of the lore was invented or reinvented with Warcraft III, and that was only 5 years ago. Many of the things that happened in Warcraft III were monumental changes. It was a set storyline though, it was there at release and continues to be. In an MMO we have this evolving story, and I think that way of adding new content as we go, in patches and expansions, that the way of content delivery itself seems to cheapen it.

That's aside from my personal belief that the vast majority of the people that actually profess to care about the lore are just trolls, or just grasping at any negatives they can to throw it on to their "blizzard sucks" pile.

Oh, I wasn't referring to you, I believe it's something you're concerned over.

Personally I see that there's definitely something there to be curious about, but I don't immediately discount it as completely improbable. These ... lost heroes have become death knights, their will has been broken and their souls stolen and blackened. They call upon depraved and foul magics. Now why in the world would anyone let them come back? That's an excellent question, and one that has yet to be answered.

I don't believe that it's impossible for either the horde or alliance to find enough of a reason, an advantage I dare say, to accept someone who had become a death knight but no longer allied themselves with the lich king. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
