Recruit A Friend 3X exp?

Hi, I recently recruited a friend to world of warcraft... By recently i mean yesterday Augest 12th 2008, Anyways Last night we were trying to figure out how the triple exp thing works and couldnt seem to get it to go up past like 50-60 exp per mob in the lvl's 1-10? how does this feature of the recruit a friend work?

The RAF program is not retroactive I'm afraid.

Only accounts created with it are eligible.
