Recruit... How long does account stay trial

I did the recruit a friend. and with some crazy mad instance pulls in SFK i got to 20 in about 4 hours. Now I can't level anymore because i'm still on a trial account even though I upgraded and paid for 3 months. Do i have to wait the full bloody 10 days before I can keep leveling? I was hoping to get to level 35 today.
Are you certain you upgraded the account, Vampire?
If you upgraded online there is a up to 72 hour processing time but the leveling restrictions are removed immediately. If you purchased a retail copy of the game all restrictions are removed as soon as you input the authentication key.
Do you have a character name and realm that you can give me? I can take a look.

I'm sure I upgraded because it gave me a free month as well as put the subscription at 3 month recurring.
It looks like that character is currently level 21, Vampire. :)
Do you mean, Myriul?
That account is upgraded. Was that account logged in still when you did the upgrade?
If so can you log out and back in to see if it updates?

If your friend used the online upgrade feature to upgrade the account from a trial to a full version it can take up to 72 hours for the purchase to process. Leveling restrictions will lift immediately but mail, trade, Auction House, and public channel restrictions will remain until the process is approved.

so when was the * part added as I was searching that site on Fri night when I had upgraded my account and it was not there. This should be something that is stated up front when going through the online authentication key process and it was not.
About 3-6 months ago.
It should also have been in the e-mail that was sent when you upgrade the account.
