Raid Harassment...

So tonight two forum trolls who have nothing better to do ninjad our BT raid ID from a noob guildie... (they asked to him help with some quests passed him raid lead and quickly zoned in to get saved to our instance the night before)... They zoned in while we running back between illidan attempts and prevented us from making any attempts for the rest of the night.

No way to force them to leave they just sat inside the instance and chain spawned illidan while we asked them to leave. Ive already petitioned a GM and want to know if this is a punishable offense while i wait 2-3hrs for an offical ingame response.

Sadly i doubt the GMs will do anything beyond a verbal warning but im just shocked that someone would stoop this low just to stir up forum drama.

People whose raid IDs have been "stolen" are encouraged to contact the Game Master department with an in-game ticket explaining the situation. We'll examine the case and see what we can do.

Preemptively: Yes, regulars, this is a new policy.

Since we are sharing with you, is there anything else you want to share with us? Maybe some more new policies?

Sure. We're also asking any victims of mass guild bank theft, regardless of permissions the person may have had, to report it to our Game Masters for review.

We won't be able to help all victims, but there should be an increasing number of actions against those who abuse their withdrawal privileges to hinder guild progress.

And with that, I bid you a medicated goodnight. :)

I cannot accept a good change, nor can I accept that Blizzard would have made one, due to unfounded and irrational prejudices I refuse to leave behind.

I'm glad you've been so up-front with us, Orias!

Is that really what you thought I meant ? I don't think it is. I meant you are still allowing raid id's to be stolen. You may act in the case of an invite and then ninja instance. But your policy has no effect on one person stealing a raid from all the other members of the raid by giving it to someone else.

I'm afraid, simply put, that you're wrong.

This is a new policy. You're welcome to draw your own conclusions, as I know you will, but if this happens to you, sitting and complaining instead of bringing it to our attention has a much smaller chance of retribution.

What were your exact circumstances?

Disgruntled guildie quits guild, hands raid ID to other guild. Other guild kills Illidan.

What did the Game Master say to you?

He said nothing he could do. Post in Customer Service Forum or Suggestion Forum.

Can you do me a favor and re-petition?

Be as detailed as possible--provide player names, approximate times, etc.

Thought I'd update, because while we haven't heard anything back from our GMs, action appears to have been taken.

1. The loot gained from our instance seems to have disappeared (the loot that FSB got to drop, not the stuff we got from our kills). This includes the mainhand glaive.

2. Many members of FSB seem to have been banned. Whether this is temporary (24 or 72 hour) or permanent remains to be seen by the citizens of Korgath, but they're not around on one of their raidnights, which is odd behaviour to say the least.

A big thank you to Blizzard and the GM staff from us here at Undecided!

Thanks,
Mil

Glad to be of service. :)

All I'm saying is that I sure do love this new policy.
