Will there be a concede duel option?

I'm really hoping that there isn't.

Having played both LoL and DotA2, I must say that I really appreciate the no-concede games that DotA2 provides rather than the very frequent 20 minute concedes that happen with a slight disadvantage even in League.

I've been looking for something to sate my interest in card games while waiting for hearthstone, so I downloaded Magic the Gathering: Online and have been messing around in the free trial mode with the pre-built decks. One thing that I've noticed is that at least 50% of my games are conceded by turn 5 or so, and it makes it a really disappointing experience.

I'm hoping that Blizzard doesn't put a concede option into Hearthstone because it's really lame having the majority of games just conceded, especially when Hearthstone games are pretty fast anyway.

Thoughts?

There is a concede option available. If you concede, you lose the game and the other player wins.

Probably should be one - I mean - you don't want to tell the players "you have to play the game"..

However, one of most annoying thing in other online card games I've played is getting your cards all lined up for a powerful / "just how you hoped it would go" game and then the other player leaves after turn 4 because they didn't get the cards they wanted.

Is there a chance for some kind of added damage to your weekly Medal ranking as a penalty for leaving early? Or is that a horrible idea?

I don't know if that would be a good idea. You already get the loss under your belt if you leave. It also makes it easier for you if you win (more benefit, at least). At the same time, during forges, you don't really want to concede as after you lose three times, you have to re-enter the forge and create a new deck.
