From my guild forum...

It's official: from this point forward Rogues will be replaced with Mages and Hunters replaced with Warlocks in all (guild name removed) end-game instances.

We are sorry for the pain, but we just can't carry these classes any longer. Rerollers will have invite priority upon reaching level 70.

I'm pretty sure Curator and Maiden were the final straws...

From my own experiences, I've found rogues and hunters to be very important additions to a group. I think your guild is making a mistake and will only find that when they do need a hunter or rogue, they will end up having to look outside the guild. To each their own however.

Also, please be aware that there is going to be some tuning on various encounters still that will take into account the high amounts of damage that these classes can take due to cleave and area of effect spells.

The best thing to do is to report on the Raids and Dungeons forum any encounters you've been involved in that seem particularly difficult and out of balance and we will look into it.

C'mon everyone. You're all pretty.

Arguing over class utility while a valid past time in the right setting, can get a bit ugly like it is now. Calling one class over another more useful can get a bit subjective. More useful in what setting? What amount of CC needs done? Is there a need for a dpser that can take a few hits or avoid them outright? Is there a need for AoE damage?

I personally feel the Mage and the Rogue can be friends. (Think the "Farmer and the Cowboy can beFriends" from Oklahoma and you'll get the twist of humor here.)
