Anyone else only playing one character now due to Outland rep grinds?

I don't really feel like grinding non-heroic instances more than once to get revered rep. I'll be doing it ONCE with this character, and never again.

Blizzard shot itself in the foot with this one. Before, I would often grow bored with a chracter and so I'd reroll. But due to the rep grinds, when I grow bored of this character I'll be quitting.

Rep grinds are unimaginitive cop outs that stand in for real content. Why not give each heroic key an epic long quest instead? I liked doing the Karazhan quest chain, why not include one for heroics? (I could care less about the crafting recipes... why are 90% of them leatherworking anyway?)

No, not quite. I said what I did because of the person saying Tranquillien is a hard grind. The irony of their post is that it's not hard to get. If you level a blood elf from 1 - 20 and do all the quests there, you will be exalted before you ever leave the starting areas.

Yes, it's a blood elf faction. You can get some nice lower level pieces of gear for faction in Tranquillien itself.

On a whole, reputation is much easier to get in the Burning Crusade and was purposely designed this way. If you want to run Heroics and go further, you will need the right reputation. However, doing quests and running the various dungeons affiliated with the faction can make gaining it fairly easy. There needs to be some small challenge to it, however, otherwise the rewards gained wouldn't be as valuable and it would trivialize the accomplishment. Then we would hear many people upset about how easy it is to get and how worthless it is since everyone can have "insert item here" with minimal effort.

There needs to be a balance between too easy and too hard and that is what we have strived for with the expansion. Of course feedback on these things is always welcome just in case something is much more difficult than we intended it to be.
