I was in a couple parties recently where I accidentally pulled agro by getting an unlucky string of huge crits and I saw something that was really sad. When the mob came charging at me I see the tank do this really really slow turn (took almost 1.5 seconds) and then wander over in my direction, presumably to try to get agro back. Knowing better than to run away from the tank, I blink toward him so the mob will be running back toward him while it's chasing me. Apparently, the tank had really really slow reaction time because not only was he not spamming taunt while running toward the mob, but when I ended up blinking behind him, it took him almost a full second to realize both me and the mob were now behind him and he did another really really slow turn and then came wandering back. I can only assume that by level 70 these tank had not learned how the keyboard and mouse works, so I have a couple tips for all you slow reacting tanks out there:

1)Use your right mouse button. Holding down your right mouse button while jerking your mouse quickly to the left or right will spin you 180 degrees about 10 times faster than holding down an arrow key. You can also use your right mouse button and your movement keys at the same time to spin around and already be running toward your healer / dps to grab agro back.

2)Put all your frequently used abilities on keys 1-5. That way you can taunt/sunder/revenge and still have your hands close to your movement keys in case you need to react to something.

3)Mobs will move during a fight, don't park yourself in front of it and assume it will stay there, be prepared to react when your healer or dps takes agro because you don't know how to do your job.

4)Use intercept (if less than 70)/intervene/feral charge to get yourself to the mob, it's a lot quicker than running over and you won't lose party members that way.

5)Spam taunt the whole time you are running to the mob, that way when you get in range, you will taunt, and if your mage has blinked behind you to help you close the gap quicker, you won't look all foolish when the mob runs through you and you have to turn around again and start running in the opposite direction.

I think the turning with the mouse thing is just something that those that have played a lot of FPS' with mouse and keyboard have learned. For those new to the idea, it takes some getting used to.
