"There is a hot fix going in which may have particular impact on the Priest class which we wanted to inform you of.

Gladiator's Satin Hood and Gladiator's Satin Mantle have been found to be granting only +Healing rather than the intended +Damage and Healing on the PTR. We are correcting this with a hot fix, however the tooltip will not reflect this until an upcoming client patch. For the time being, we will be removing the items from the vendor, so as to minimize any confusion. They will be reinstated when the tooltip issue is corrected."

So, seriously. Could we get any more information about this? Will they be put back in for 2.0.11? 2.1.0? I understand you can't give us any dates for when these patches come out, but are we waiting until Tempest Keep is released for this issue to be addressed?

I mean, it's not even that it hasn't been fixed for so long that troubles me, it's that your explanation....kinda doesn't make any sense to me.

You : It was giving + healing rather than the advertised +healing/damage.
Me : Ok, no problem.
You : We hotfixed it.
Me :Awesome.
You : This requires a tooltip update.
Me : Really? What's the tooltip change? I mean.....the tooltip already says it gives +damage/healing.
You : We removed them from the game until the tooltip is updated.
Me : Uh....what? No offense, but....since when does an inaccurate tooltip stop you from pushing something into the game. My improved fort buff tooltip is wrong, are you gonna remove fort from the game?

It's just.....odd. And the continued silence about it is unsettling. It makes me feel like when we DO get it back the items will be changed, perhaps because the items had been originally budgeted around +healing rather than +damage/healing? The damage/healing bonus will be reduced, the stats on them will have been modified, or god forbid we hear "The pieces are now providing the full intended +healing only bonus."

I mean, what other explanation is there for a tooltip change? Am I interpreting this wrong? Maybe you could check with the devs to find out what the tooltip change is? If the items are being adjusted maybe you can just whisper it to me so that the other priests don't riot just yet. I promise I won't tell anyone, I'd just like to know sooner rather than later. :)

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Q u o t e:
I mean, what other explanation is there for a tooltip change?

The reason for the removal from the vendor is that it would have spent an undue amount of time with an inaccurate tooltip for an item that costs arena points.

If we had just left the item up with the hotfixed stats, those who bought the item thinking it was only +healing would have been misled and caused confusion and the expectation of compensation, which would basically cause a support issue.

Rather than having a misleading tooltip on an item that costs something other than gold, we removed it completely until the tooltip is accurate. That way, the people who already have it can use it as intended, but those who haven't purchased it aren't going to be spending arena points on something other than what they are getting.

It's going in with 2.1. It's coming up soon.
