Can any character equip a weapon or only a hero?

The card Arathi Weaponsmith says Battlecry: Equip a 2/2 Weapon. Does Arathi or the hero get the weapon equipped?

If you can equip a minion with a weapon, what happens to the weapon when the minion dies?

Can you have more than 1 weapon equipped at a time?

Your hero gets the equipped weapon and can attack directly. The first number is how much damage he will deal, and the second number is how much durability the weapon has. Each time the hero attacks with the weapon the durability goes down by 1. When it reaches 0, the weapon is destroyed.

Another question:
If the hero is behing attacked, he will do damage with the weapon, if that happens, will the durability drop 1 too?

When it is not your turn, your hero will not use the weapon. So, if you are attacked your weapon will not attack back as the weapon was put away until your next turn.
