I have played since the tail end of BC(hit max right b4 LK release, never raided in it), and i have liked everything Blizzard has done since then. MoP being my fav. What is so good about BC, what did i miss out on?

It's absolute nostalgia. For me it was spending years in a fantasy world of swords and dragons and then walking through a magical portal into space and (tempered) science fiction. It was that amazement of exploring a rich new world, which I think Pandaria also completely nailed. It just hasn't had that five-or-whatever years to simmer in my brain meats and morph into whatever idealistic vision I want it to be.

I would have thought you could only capture that amazement once, that Burning Crusade was unique in that it was the first expansion, and thus had all the benefits of being the first of a lot of things. But somehow Mists of Pandaria captured that wonderment again for me. Not sure how exactly... Wizards did it.

Please don't discount people's legitimate opinions over which expansion they liked the best with 'nostalgia'

and yes, I like MoP, too

I wasn't talking about anyone else, I was talking about me.
