When does the recruit-a-friend promotion end?

Hey all (and blues hopefully).

I have a friend who you've managed to convince to buy an account for WoW, however he's going through a bit of hardship at the moment and won't be able to start for a few months. Note that the hardship is not to do with money, more he doesn't have the time to dovote to the game at the moment.

How long will this promotion last? He really wants to take advantage of it however he'd rather wait a little while first.

Also, if he does a 10 day trial now, and decides NOT to activate his account for a couple of months, will he still have the 80 linked days? (10 already gone from the free trial)
