Concerning My Permanent Ban -- Suspension?!

Pretty much I just made this account about a week and 1/2 ago.. I haven't done a thing wrong, haven't shared the account, affected the economy, etc.

So basically I was rerolling with some people from my old server and I was grinding out the levels, already 64, then I receive this tell from a GM saying that I was going to be removed from game. I ask the GM if I can finish the quest and hearth, he replies, "Yes you can." The only reason I asked was because earlier in our conversation he said the word, "Suspension." Now the definition of suspension, "Temporary abrogation or withholding, as of a law, privilege, decision, belief, etc. "

Why would I have asked if I could finish a quest and hearth if I hadn't of known I was only going to be suspended.

Now here's the email I receive, with NO information regarding why my account was closed.

Note:
Character Name: Dotsimo
Character Realm: Arthas

***Notice of Account Closure***

Greetings,

This is a notification regarding the World of Warcraft account, <MY ACCOUNT NAME HERE>. Access to this account has been disabled for behavior contrary to the "essence" of World of Warcraft. While we try to be as lenient as possible in our assessment of all account investigations, multiple trends in prohibited behavior on the account in question have ultimately led to its closure. The recurring subscription on the account has been disabled to prevent further charges.

As a result, this account will no longer be able to access any aspect of World of Warcraft. This action has been taken in accordance with Section 5, Paragraph C [Rules Related to Game Play] of the Terms of Use (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/legal/termsofuse.html) and our game policies (http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=20309).

Thank you for your time and understanding of our position in this matter. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

Sincerely,

Sulgyf

Here's the deal, I've been playing the game since day one, and invested over $2,000.00 in playing this game, paying month by month, account by account.

I know I will need to contact Account Administration, but could a GM please tell me how my week-old account could do something contrary to the essence of the game, and why did a GM tell me I was going to receive a suspension when I actually got a permanent ban?

Thanks.

I am so sorry friend, there seems to be some basic misconceptions here as to what our terms of use allow - and do not allow.

Just a little light reading for you.

How to Stay in the Game

http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=21506&rhtml=true

To sum this up...

Selling accounts and gold, is bad.

Sharing accounts, is bad.

Powerleveling, is bad.

Trading accounts, is bad.

While normally I'm willing to give anyone the benefit of the doubt - quite often a compromised account is abused and bad things happen. This doesn't appear to be the case - in this case.

All that said - the proper avenue for appeal is to write our Account Administration department at
wowaccountadmin@blizzard.com.

Good luck with that.

Q u o t e:

Then why did this one get banned?

I only made it a week ago, and it had nothing to do with any accounts that did anything illegal towards the game.

Let me add this to the above list then....

Using a 'clean' account to make arrangements and funnel stolen goods, property - and otherwise make arrangements to break our Terms of Use through 'dirty' accounts, also - is bad.

Alrighty, well - this one is going straight downhill.

Did a little trimming and I think this had been quite thoroughly covered.
