Multiple accounts

I have heard contradictary information on having multiple accounts.

I read in these forums someone asked if logging into 2 characters on the same account was possible, and the answer was:

It is possible, but its against the rules, if you want to be able to log into 2 characters at once you will have to buy a second account like everyone else has to.
If Blizzard started letting everybody log into multiple characters on the same account, then they would lose a lot of money from people who already have 2 accounts so they can log into 2 characters who would pay for a character account transfer, thus only having to pay for one instead of 2 account.

so by that logic, if you have 2 accounts, and a character on each account in the same server, you are allowed to log into both.

but somewhere else (Cant remember where) I read that to log into 2 characters at once, you need 2 accounts and 2 ip address's.

Does this mean I cant go and purchase another account, and run WoW twice (Alt-tab between characters) on the same computer, and I will in fact need 2 computers to run 2 accounts?

im all for paying for 2 accounts to play 2 characters at once, but I dont want to buy another computer as well, im not THAT rich, hell, im not rich at all.

The program will not let you log into multiple character from the same copy of the program - i.e., 2 on one account at once.

As long as your PC can handle the requirements - running 2 - 3, or even more copies on the same box is fine - but they would all be a single character on a unique account of their own.

Does that make sense? You can fire up multiple copies of WoW - and log into multiple accounts at the same time without an issue.
