Totem Question for the Blue-Posters

I haven't seen anything specifically on this yet.

Is there an intention to make totems function under the same mechanics as the WOW TCG, where they're inherently immune to "aoe" type mechanics?

Totems are placed on the playing field and provide various benefits. If an AOE card is played, it can be damaged . The totem can also be directly attacked by any minions on the playing field or a spell in which it is targeted directly.
