Racism in Ragnaros (Latin American)

There's several threads over in the Spanish forums right now, but it's not getting any blue replies, maybe it will get more attention if it's . Apparently the new Latin American servers are plagued with guilds called things like "Border Patrol" on both sides, people constantly trolling trade and general whenever someone speaks in Spanish (or English sometimes too), and generally, there's just a lot of ToS violations and blatant outright racism going on there with practically no punishment being dealt to those responsible even after continuous reporting of the characters and guilds.

Guilds like Border Patrol are claiming the server is theirs and you need to speak English or gtfo, and I don't really understand where these people get off going to a Spanish server and behaving this way, and obviously lots of Mexican and Latin American players aren't just doing the obvious /ignore and reporting, and instead are getting tremendously defensive, causing them to lash out against any and all English-speakers.

Basically I'd just like to ask: what gives? I've heard of people getting banned from regular servers for far less than inciting a race war. Is Ragnaros some kind of exception to the racism policies or something?

The whole issue is that yes, people are reporting, yet no action is being carried out against those accounts.

I believe this may simply be a case where action does not appear to be carried out. We will never reveal the action taken against a reported account due to our privacy policies, but that in no way means that policy violations go unpunished. We take providing an appropriate environment for all our players very, very seriously, and I encourage you to continue to report this kind of behavior.

You may find it useful to refer to our policies page on the Support Site for details as well:

You need to report these incidents as they occur friend. Also, did the guild you mention have some fancy ASCII characters in the name? I'm not able to find one with a plain text spelling on Ragnaros.

Just report behaviors like this as you see them - they will indeed be dealt with.

Bumped to show that this has happened to more than one player (an entire guild of 20 players) and that there is anymosity being created by both Latin American and North American players through Blizzard continueing to turn a blind eye to this problem.

It is not necessary to bump this thread to show anything, Gesundheit. As Orlyia already stated, you need to report issues of possible harassment so they can be investigated and dealt with appropriately.
