Cant walk slow when on labtop?

On both my laptops (and most others that I've seen) the numpad is incorporated into the rest of the keyboard. There is a "function" key (Fn) next to my left control that works similar to "shift", you use it in combination with other keys to use numpad functions.

On the laptop i'm on right now, the "0" key also has a blue "/" on it- If I hold the "Fn" key and hit "0" it will cause me to walk.

I don’t think there was any other time that I used the function key on my laptop, other than while playing. Bloodloss, if you can’t get the function keys t work, you can always change the key binding as Molotos suggested.
