From the last OT that got locked as I was writing this and since Gray hasn't started a new one yet that I see:

Q u o t e:

You're not kidding. I left the Philippines when I was 13. When I went to college a few years later in New Jersey, I found out that one of my friends lived across the hall from a girl I went to grade school with back in the Philippines. Crazy.

A bit long, but the best small world story ever:

In 1977 between my junior and senior year in H.S. I went to college and took summer classes so I could start the next fall with 9 hours credit under my belt (Trig, Logic, Survey of Lit.). In Trig class was a girl named Sue that I kind of hung out with some, went out with once or twice, but no big deal, we were mainly just good friends. She was actually going to school at another college and was a few years older than me and was just there taking Trig as a summer class since it would transfer back to where she was actually going to school.

Summer school ended and we lost touch. One year later, after graduation from H.S. the summer before entering college, I went to Britain and spent the summer there with friends and family. While in London, we went to see Jesus Christ Superstar on stage. When the show was over I stopped to use the restroom and grab a Libretto. When I came out, my mom and the others I was with were gathered in a small group talking to people. I walked up behind my mom and she she "Oh, there you are, we found some people from Arkansas" and she stepped to the side so I could see who she was talking to - you guessed it, it was Sue. I instantly said "Sue" and she called my name and we hugged and my mom and everyone were like "you know each other?!" We explained how we knew each other and then I went with Sue and her friends for a few drinks.

I have not seen or heard from Sue since that day in 1978 in London. I keep figuring someday, somewhere, I'll run into her again, but no luck yet.

I loved the town/city names where I used to live. Everything was either heavily British or blatantly Native American. :)

You may want to consider torrenting it from another source if you want it super-fast.

:/ Kill Talbuks!!!!

Did you read what I said last time?

If you're having trouble with the Blizzard Downloader you can likely find a torrent of it elsewhere with a good number of seeds.

I actually did it that way and it only took like 2.5 hours.

Oh, your duplicity is hardly surprising, Merdrah. Unlike nearly all of your posts, though, that one was actually pretty funny.

It's not often that I hit gold. In fact it's usually an accident like tonight's sample as I'm always focused on being annoying.

Annoying isn't really the word for you. You're like a dead pixel--it was annoying the first few times you saw it, but you don't even really see it anymore.

G'nite Vrak.

And to anyone who says Belfaire doesn't post interesting things... He's the only CSF GM I know of that has a bear attack story. :)

Things will get more interesting with him, I'm sure of it.

Dude, get interesting? I'm seriously the most ridiculous poster of all of us. My posts are like shenanigans reserves.

A good electrical storm is exquisite food for the soul.

Of course, I have the advantage of experiencing them only rarely. It is, after all, possible to drown in caviar.

Ok, so this is like really off-topic, but does anyone or has anyone ever had a problem of flea infestation in their house?

My parents' house is "hopping" with fleas and I am getting bit like crazy. I was just wondering if anyone had any crazy ideas as to what to do...I've tried like everything to get rid of them lol.

I'm actually glad they are biting me in a way though... about a year ago NOTHING would bite me, not flies, mosquitos, fleas - nothing. I found out I had cancer. As soon as the cancer was removed, EVERYTHING started to bite me again lol. At least I know I am still cancer-freeXD

/sigh

I should really get back to playing the game...but I just have no desire to this past week, its strange really. I was playing day in and day out, then boom...no desire. Weird, I guess I just need to find a job!

Sorry I'm ranting, I'll stop now!

First, vacuum frequently, particularly around areas where your pets sleep, eat, or near litter boxes. Vacuums > fleas. Find a good flea killing carpet spray or powder that is safe for children and pets (personally, I've had good results with Zodiac products) and get every inch of floor, bedding, etc. Be sure to get the spaces beneath furniture, rugs, along ledges, behind furniture, etc. Saturate problem areas.

Change or wash all pet bedding and litter during this process. Simultaneously, treat your pets with a chemical guard, such as an 'Advantage' like product, and acquire a flea collar too. Do read all the documentation, but in most cases it is completely safe to use both simultaneously.

Flea eggs drop off of your pet all the time, but the flea larvae thrive on flea feces. If you see what resembles flecks of black sand near where your pets spend a good deal of time, they have fleas, and you'll need to vacuum that area.

Bad news? You'll want to do the whole thing again 1 to 2 weeks later. That or nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Good luck! Hope you annihilate the little beggars. Me and fleas have an antithetical relationship.

As a complete side note, I'm truly sorry to hear about your illness, but I'm delighted to hear of your recovery =).

Haha thanks Mal.

I've read so much on fleas already, but a lot of the stuff I read was that the chemical products are bad. If you have used the Zodiac products and Advantage and it worked, its worth a try. A lot of the forums and sites I read were advertisers of one product or another so its real hard to determine if the products are any good, or if people are just promoting them to make money. That is why I figured I'd ask here. You would have nothing to gain by pointing me to use certain products (well, at least I don't think you would lol).

Thanks alot. I'll let my mom know what she should purchase as the next step in the War on Fleas!

You're welcome =). Fleas are persistent and tough though - you really have to hit them from all sides at once. If you've got a manageable yard, it can't even hurt to use an outdoor spray as well.

Hahah, and don't neglect high ledges and the like that a cat might be sleeping on, either.
