All my characters are gone!

I log in this morning and all my characters are gone...I can still select them on the forums to post with, but besides that I can't access them at all, or even see them...I made a new character to add them to friends list but it says "Player Not Found." I've opened a ticket, contacted Account Admin via email, changed WOW password, disabled all add-ons, deleted WTF, Cache, and Interface folders, and am running the Blizzard Repair right now.

Were the characters that you are able to select for posting the only ones that you had?

I see that all of the characters that you are able to select for posting have been deleted – sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Seeing as this does not sound like it was intentional, it would appear that your account has been compromised. I would, as Nexfor suggested, check your computer. As I said, they appear to all have been deleted. I would suggest that once you have scanned your computer – above post – you should think about looking over our Account Compromise Info Center sticky to get an idea of how the whole account retrieval process works.

Between those two stickies, you should be able to get your characters returned to you, and hopefully any items that may have gone missing as well.
