When you fiddle around for 30-45 minutes with Tidy Plates -DPS addon, trying to get the enemy plates to show your dots ticking above them, because you have read on numerous sites that this is the perfect/proper addon to use if you wish to track dots this way...failing to get it to work after many different tries and different settings...
...only to find after updating addons after the recent patch, that you have spec 1 selected for Tidy Plates - DPS, and spec 2 selected for the default settings. Spec 1 is Disc, spec 2 is Shadow, which is why it wasn't working for two patches.
