Why is there a billboard on top of me?

Why do opposing faction members have their name printed right on top of their head. Doesn't that remove the point of PvP where you will have to FIND the person, not just find the big blue text?

Any plans to remove names of opposing faction members?

There are no plans to remove the names of opposing faction members. My best suggestion for people is not to make long names or long guild names.

It's hard to hide behind a tree to ambush someone when you have the name "Longbottomfluffypants" and belong to the guild "The United Happy Fluffy Bunnies of Goldshire".

LF10 signatures for new guild <Is hiding right here>!

Another could be <No Hunters Mark Required>.

I'd like to see some Longbottomfluffypants running about. Then I could know I've made a real difference in the community. ;)

Makes sense, but how about reducing the size of the guild name by half and the player by a fourth? you get a bunch of players in one spot and you just see a sea of letters

...a little thing like this could reduce lag even

I'm not sure if this is something that the team would consider but I can bring it up. I just worry about all of us that are getting older and keep increasing our font sizes in game. (Not me mind you... you know, other people who are getting older. *cough*)

/e watches to see if anyone actually tries it and discovers there's a 12-letter limit on character names...

;) Yes, but exaggeration is a part of humor.

Look through the UI that Blizzard gave you sometime, might find some things that will amaze you.

I think the idea was they wanted it to be that it opposing faction member nameplates were never visible to the other faction.

While everyone can choose to turn off player names, guild names and player titles, it doesn't guarantee that everyone is going to do that. The UI options are there for those that don't want to see those items but it's not like you can force others not to see yours if they choose.
