Mail and Trial accounts

A few weeks ago my step-brother decided to try WoW. He created a trial account and started leveling a warlock called Dranit on Lightning's Blade realm.

When he was level 10~, I went to the auction house and bought him some netherweave bags, some green items and some gold. I mailed the items to him but soon we found that trial accounts couldn't open their mail. When the trial period ran out for him, he decided to buy Age of Conan instead of WoW so he didn't upgrade his trial account to a regular account.

So now I have 2 questions:

1. Since his trial has expired and my items are in his mailbox, will I be able to contact a GM and get all the mail returned? Or do I have to wait the whole 30 days for the mail on the trial account to expire and get sent back (if it still does that)? I want to start an alt so I don't really want to buy new bags and everything again, and I don't remember how much gold I really sent. >.<

2. This isn't really related to the above situation, but if mail is sent to a trial account (I'm now aware that the trial can't open it), then the trial account upgrades to a regular account (with WoW and BC), will the character on that account now be able to open all the mail?

Unfortunately, you may need to wait the full 30 days. You are welcome to contact a member of the Game Master staff regarding this issue, however. They may be able to offer assistance with this issue.

Yep! Once upgraded, a player will be able to see all mail sent whether or not it was sent before the account was upgraded. :)
