My WOW has been playing fine most of the time. And suddenly today when Dailies resetted and I entered into Isle of Quel Danas, my WOW just crashed. Logged in again, few secs later it crashes. Every other day everything was fine. I did not install any new addons. No new programs were installed. Scanned my com for viruses etc, nothing.

Critical Wow Error pops up and gives me this. First time I ever encountered this. I'm on Core2Duo,2 GB RAM, GeForce 8600.

This application has encountered a critical error:

Not enough storage is available to process this command.

Program: C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe
Object: VERT (.?AUVERT@@)

Requested 133120 bytes of memory

Numberator,

Please close down WoW and remove the WTF, CACHE, and INTERFACE folders from the World of Warcraft game directory. These folders contain temporary data and frequently altered files that may have become corrupted. This will also remove any custom UI's that may contribute to the problem as well.

You can move these folders to the desktop or another directory if you wish to retain the data, however for now please start WoW without those folders present. Also do not use any third party programs to start WoW; often some custom UI's will place a shortcut for you to start WoW from, please use the (Launcher.exe) in the World of Warcraft directory.

Q u o t e:
the question is why all of a sudden after months and months of playing did our addons suddenly cause wow to crash?

The error that you reported is caused by either corrupted files in the cache folder or third party addons. This is why we recommend their removal when this error occurs.

You can always move the folders to your desktop to verify that the issue is resolved by their removal and then return the folders one by one to see where the issue resumes.

The WTF folder is the least liekly culprit so moving that one back first might be best followed by the cache folder.

If the issue is still resolved you can add back your custom user interfaces one at a time or in groups until you determine which is the cause.

Currently Quest Helper has been the main culprit behind these errors. Unfortunately since these addons are created by third parties, we have no way of troubleshooting them beyond recommending the removal of the problematic addon.
