Hugging Tauren

Or would they feel more smooth, like really long, clean hair? Would they feel greasy, I don't think Tauren bathe regularly... but I could be wrong. What are your thoughts?
I liken it to an experience I had as a child where a neighbor had a part housecat, part bobcat complete with seven working toes. It looked very soft and fluffy, but when I went to pet it, it was quite solid and muscular under all that fur. It was also a very clean cat. So perhaps I imagine Tauren are much like that. ;)
