I got an email saying I would recieve an account action for "Speed Hacking" which I didn't commit but glad yet confused the account action was a 24 hour suspension. I'm making a thread on the bug forums atm to report it.

It's a glitch I am going to report to the bug forums.

here's the email.

Odd, no GM signed the bottom :(

Can you provide me a name and realm of a character on the account you're talking about, Shlomo?

Edit: Nevermind. Your email covered that bit. :)

Ah, I see the issue. The suspension is for 48 hours, not 24. You were sent an email with incorrect information included. =/

My most sincere apologies for this, Shlomo; I realize it's confusing. Your suspension will up in approximately 24 hours and 45 minutes from this post.

And thank you for your understanding. :)

If you believe the suspension was applied in error, be sure to dispute it. You can do this by emailing wowaccountadmin@blizzard.com or by just hitting "Reply" to that email you quoted above.

We'll be happy to take another look at your case.

About your suspension? Nah, I'm afraid not. We Game Masters aren't in charge of reviewing or overturning account actions, so submitting an in-game petition really wouldn't help too much. That responsibility is solely with our Account Administration department. :)

Then why were you talking about "discovering" this potential issue 3 hours before you were actually witnessed by our staff and cited? Why were you continuously asking your fellows to MC you so you could regain the effect? Why did you continue to repeat the behavior and not report it until a day after your suspension?

Was it because "it was too fun to give up"? Come on. You knew what you were doing.

Q u o t e:
I can't believe no one will help me.

I find a glitch, report it on the bug forums, get suspended, GM tells me to reply to the email, I get my account closed.

Can any GM please tell me what is going on.

That's what I was responding to, Sariael. I suppose I should have quoted this in my original response to avoid confusion. My apologies. :)

That said, the account isn't closed. It's still valid. The response he received was supposed to merely note that the mark on his account wouldn't be overturned. Looks like something was lost in translation.

Now, the original email noted "Speed Hacking"—which, upon review by our staff after we received a report appeared to be the case. The penalty, however, is for exploitation. Exploiting a graphical or mechanical (unintended or intended, doesn't matter) issue carries the same weight.

Everything should be sorted out at this point appropriately. I'm still available for questions, though, should there be any.

Edit:

Q u o t e:
(I don't know if you're understaffed in this forum or not obviously, but it's often like pulling teeth to get a reply here, so I think his frustration over not being able to get a response to that is pretty understandable.)

His follow up query came while I was on my weekend. This forum is actually quite timely. :)

Edit, the second: Correcting verb tense.

I corrected my response while you were likely drafting yours, Sariael:

If he cannot access the account now, he may just need to reset his password. :)
