Mount speed enhancements bug?

i had just made a new riding crop trinket for a guildy and we wante to test it out to see how fast the mount would go. i used my mithril spurs boots, carrot on a stick, and glove enchants. my guildy used his mithril spurs, gloves, and riding crop.

now you would think he would have the faster mount as riding crop is 10% increased mount speed while carrot is only 3%. but for some reason we were traveling at the exact same speed. we tried this on regular epic ground mounts then on flying mounts and proved to be true. with the mats being so expensive for this trinket you would think it would stack, but as of the testing we did there is no difference. i was talking to a GM in game and he could not answer me as it would be against the rules to give game play hints, he instead, refered me to the forums. so my question is: is this a bug or does the riding crop not stack with other mount increasing items/enchants?

I do apologise for any confusion you may have been caused, Thorbadin, but it is indeed intentional for the effects of the Riding Crop to not stack with those from the [Enchant Boots - Minor Speed] and [Enchant Gloves - Riding Skill], whereas those of the Carrot on a Stick do. It should be noted, however, that the Riding Crop alone does offer a slightly larger speed increase than the Carrot on a Stick, glove and boot enchantments combined, which allows you to free up a couple items for other enchantments, or avoid carrying around a second set of "riding clothes." :)

For clarity the Riding Crop which gives a 10% speed adjustment to mount speed does not stack with the other items or enchantments. This is intended, I am very sorry for any confusion caused.

The Spurs, Skill and Carrot give you a 9% increase where the Riding Crop gives you 10%. In essence if you go with the Riding Crop you can carry around just one item instead of three.
