Forum downtime is sad!

Silly question for CS GMs:

On a day like today, do you go, "Woot! I'm staying home!" or do you come in to the office and, like, handle in-game GM tickets, or specialist tickets, or what?

Not quite; I had a few odds and ends to wrap up. :)

Fail. Epic Fail.

Krypter, I think it has to do with the fact that those links were posted before the url stripping was done. Everything post-link strip still won't show up.

</speculation>

Your speculation is correct, Scribbity.

In fact, we've been especially careful not to edit the stickies as of late to ensure the links remain functional. :)

Is account creation coming up anytime soon?

I certainly hope so, Sondheim. Regrettably, however, we do not have an ETA yet.

hey blue, could you yourself, give us ur OWN ETA? just how much longer do YOU think.

Any ETA I could possibly give would likely be wrong, perhaps even majority so.

Our web technicians are working on all aspects of the website and they are aware of the issues with password and account recovery as well as trial account creation and account management access.

If I do receive some kind of estimate I will certainly let everyone know. :)

i just cant figure out why a company like blizzard can take a whole entire day with specialists on one dang website.

Big or small doesn't make what the issue is resolve any any faster.

<--- need to change info now!!!!!!!!

I get that, Pickachu, but stomping your feet and adding a bunch of unnecessary exclamation points will not make it so.

This is the Game Master Department, I will happily pass on what information I can when I receive it but I am not able to make the website work so you can change your information. The people who can are working on the issue and will get it resolved as quickly as possible.

I love how nice you GM's have to be. If you weren't a GM you'd prob be going shut the heck up, it will be done when its done. lol. I still wanna create my account tho.

I wouldn't say anything like that, Twig. I completely understand that people get frustrated and they want to do something that they normally would have access to. Unfortunately the timing on this is bad for Pickachu and inconvenient for you, I hope it is resolved soon.

Can blizz manually send emails with passes?

It seems a password has been reset but no email sent with the reset password.

Well, billing can Grim - but that's morning.

Hopefully these issues will settle down soon - the site seems a bit more stable now - I know they are still working on things.

fyi the forums website is still sketchy on work, sometimes it randomly times out, sometimes it loads, doesnt matter what forum it is. Also thanks to the power of tracert i know it's not on my network that is the problem :D

not going to post the tracert unless asked to.

Yar. We've been fighting with it all morning.

Needless to say, we've hit a few snags. If you notice any issues related to the forums or website, please let us know.

Thank you for remaining patient!

Just to clear up any confusion regarding the 'https' issues: our technicians are currently working on the systems so you're going to experience intermittent periods where they are reset. This doesn't mean that the systems have been compromised or that they are not secure. They're just updating things. =)

All is well, it's just being a bit finicky due to the work that's being done.

Unfortunately, we are still experiencing some pretty major side effects caused by the web maintenance. A few of the more notable issues include:
  • Forum Login Issues
  • Account Creation/Upgrade Difficulties
  • Paid Character Transfer and Name Change Issues
  • Blizzard Store Inaccessibiltiy

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience these issues are creating. We hope these features become available in the very near future.

Thank you for your patience.
